Buy Shaw Carpets

Shaw Carpets began in 1846 as Philadelphia Carpets Company producing velvet carpets for the finest homes in the Philadelphia area. In 1946, a separate company called Star Dye Company was formed - they dyed rugs, spreads and robes. In 1958 Star Dye began to involve themselves in dyeing carpet and in 1967 a holding company was formed by one of Star's owners to acquire Philadelphia Carpet Company (Philadelphia Holding Company). In 1970 Philadelphia Holding went public as Shaw Industries, Inc., and Shaw carpet was born. With such a long and varied history, it's obvious that Shaw Industries, Inc. is here to stay after developing a customer base that continues to buy shaw carpets.

Shaw Industries, Inc. designs and manufactures over 1,800 styles of carpet, both tufted and woven for both residential and commercial use. Trade names for Shaw carpets include Philadelphia, Trustmark, Shaw Commercial, Commercial, Shawmark, Evans Black, Salem, Cumberland, Queen Carpet and Invicta to name only a few. The Shaw Company also provides installation and sales for laminate flooring, ceramic tile and hardwood flooring.

Carpets manufactured by Shaw are made with innovative features for increased softness through using revolutionary braided fibers, toughness and stain resistance through exclusive stain and soil repellent materials. Another feature of Shaw carpet is a patented backing system called SoftBac that keeps carpets flexible and wrinkle-free.

An innovator in style as well, Shaw carpets is bringing color back to flooring. A range of blues from turquoise to teal to navy are appearing along with burnt orange, shades of green and browns that add an earthy feeling to rooms. Textures such as loop and weave are used and subtle patterns are also making a comeback in Shaw carpets.

Shaw's website offers a unique tool for users to upload a photo of their room and try different colors and patterns of carpet to see what they like best. Shaw carpets are sold wholesale and retail in the U.S. and around the globe.
